I attended a watercolor workshop at John's Creek Art Center on January 6th! What a talented artist and interesting workshop. He demonstrated various watercolor concepts - with emphasis on Preparation, Value, and Composition. It further piqued my interest in watercolor, although my skills using this medium are as yet pre-beginner!! At the end of the workshop there was a drawing for attendees to pick out one of the pieces he demo'd to take home. I was the second to make my selection!! Here is my wonderful work of art I plan to have professionally matted and framed, personally signed by Jack Shields.
I was so impressed with the class that I forwarded his contact information to my Sawnee Association of the Arts where he will be doing a demo at our March meeting and then will hold another workshop at Soulful Art Studios. I'm sure all will be as mesmerized as I when my fellow artists attend!
